Interior Industrial Painting

Being a good painter does not necessarily mean that someone will be a good industrial painting contractor. Industrial painting is a completely different animal from painting houses or offices.

Typically, industrial painting requires extensive professional equipment and expertise, including access equipment for working at heights, spray machines, sandblasting equipment, pressure washers, and a vast knowledge of paints and coatings not available to the average painter or homeowner. Additionally, there are regulatory safety requirements that must be adhered to: WHMIS training, WSIB, Ontario Working at Heights regulations, scissor lift and boom lift licences, swing stage training and certification.

When working inside an operating Food Plant or Manufacturing Factory, it is vital that an industrial painting contractor has the know-how and expertise to avoid the potential pitfalls that could interfere with the plant’s production or operations … or cause problems with government agencies such as the CFIA (Canada Food Inspection Agency). Especially as “On-Time Delivery” becomes the norm, delays can be costly; we have the manpower to get large industrial painting projects done in short periods of time (during plant shutdowns or on weekends) and are able to offer 24-hour service if necessary. Customers are often surprised at how much we can get done in the time frames we have to work with.

Our painting services include painting factory ceilings (metal deck, concrete, etc.), walls, columns, epoxy and urethane floors (with 5-S markings and floor lines), machines and equipment. Much of our work will be done by spray painting using airless, electrostatic, HVLP spray equipment as appropriate.

Industrial painting requires an extensive knowledge of paint coatings; we aren’t usually dealing with paint that you can pick up at your local paint or hardware store. Industrial applications often require specialty products such as single-component and two-component epoxy and urethane, dryfall, concrete block filler, high performance acrylic and waterborne coatings, and others.
